Jennetta Howell
Jennetta Howell has been involved since age 3 with Defiance Community Theater when her parents stepped onto the stage. Her entire family was involved in productions and on the board. By the time she turned nine she was finally old enough to be cast in her first show. She had the pleasure of working with and knowing all of the founding members of Defiance. They helped shape who she was and this was her theater family.
Jennetta is a Defiance kid and recipient of their Ivy Adler scholarship award. This helped propel her to New York City to follow her acting dreams. Since then she Graduated from American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. Credits: Off-Broadway, Princess Cruise Lines, Civic Light Opera, Beverly Hills Playhouse, Theater Aspen, Crystal Palace, Glenwood Vaudeville Revue, theater teacher for 17 years, director and choreographer of 25 local productions.
After 10 years in the business she returned to Glenwood Springs. This brought new opportunities and involvement with Defiance this time as a director and choreographer.
She has sat on the board as past president and currently part of the creative team.
